Tom Cahill
Director of Tennis
Tom has been teaching tennis for 39 years and is U. S. P. T. A. Certified. A graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, he was a director of Junior Tennis at HRC before becoming Director of Tennis in 2005. He is also the Director of Tennis at LaGrange Country Club. Ask Tom about "the HRC tennis Experience" specifically designed for you. You will love it!

Vadym Kalyuzhnyy
Head Tennis Professional
Vadym Kalyuzhny became HRC’s Head Tennis Professional in May 2024 after five years as Director of Academy, where he guided state champions and NCAA scholarship athletes. He coached at NIU (D1), played at USF—earning a No. 12 national doubles ranking and four conference titles—and reached the NCAA Sweet 16. Vadym holds two Master’s degrees from NIU and is a Level 3 PTR-certified coach. On the junior circuit, he peaked at No. 110 in the ITF World Rankings.

Artem Kapshuk
Director of High Performance
Artem Kapshuk joined the HRC team in December 2022 after graduating from Texas Tech, where he earned a bachelor’s in University Studies and competed as a Division I athlete. He reached top-100 singles and top-20 doubles collegiate rankings and was a top-3 junior in Ukraine with a top 300 ITF ranking. Passionate about coaching, Artem works with both high-level juniors and adult players. He has trained athletes who have gone on to NCAA Division I schools and is a Level 1 certified pro through the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR).

Jon Holic
Adult Coordinator
Jon is a USPTA Certified Teaching Professional with 38 years of coaching experience. Over the course of his career, he has held several leadership roles, including Director of Junior Development at Oak Brook Racquet Club, Head Tennis Professional at both Wimbledon Racquet Club and Huntington Estates Bath & Tennis, and Assistant Tennis Professional at White Eagle Golf Club. Jon focuses on building solid fundamentals and helping players enjoy the game while improving.

Matt McClure
Matt is an all Conference NCAA D1 Athlete, USPTA Certified with 20 years experience, Coach of District, Midwest, and National Level Champions as well as multiple IHSA State Champions. He is a Pro Natural Bodybuilder and a Certified Personal Trainer.

Jelly Bozovic
Jelly has been teaching tennis at HRC for 4 years. She received a full-ride scholarship to play Division 1 collegiate tennis at Indiana University-Bloomington. Jelly was ranked top 40 in the NCAA D1 Women’s Doubles rankings in her time at Indiana University. At the age of 5, she came to HRC where she picked up her first racquet ever and then continued to train at HRC! The rest is history…

Tony Leto
Tony picked up a racket at age 3 and started tournaments at age 6. He trained at HRC as a junior, was nationally ranked, and played tennis at Downers Grove South High School. Tony went on to play Division 1 collegiate tennis in the Big Ten Conference at University of Iowa for 2 years and then in the Horizon League Conference at University of Wisconsin Green Bay for 2 years.

Bill Morris
Billy graduated from Southern Illinois and has been teaching tennis at Hinsdale Racquet Club for over 30 years. Formerly the Junior Coordinator, he now serves as Director of NITTL and has been USPTA certified for over 20 years. With decades of experience, Billy continues to bring passion and dedication to players of all ages and levels.

Shao Yu
Shao has been teaching for 11 years and is USPTA certified. During his time at Columbus State, he helped lead his team to win nationals. He continued his college career playing D1 at NIU; then later coached the team while he obtained his Master’s degree. His background consists of psychology and counseling, therefore, mental strengthening is part of Shao’s specialty!

Roger Clarke
Roger Clarke grew up playing at HRC with coach Tom Cahill, who helped instill his passion for tennis. He competed in Midwest tournaments and played for Hinsdale Central’s team. Roger joined Hinsdale Racquet Club’s tennis program full time in 2011 and has been an integral part of the team since. He has also been a pro at LaGrange Country Club since 2006. Focused on junior tennis, Roger provides a fun, instructive experience for all ages.

Ryan Cahill
Ryan Cahill grew up playing tennis at HRC and played Division 1 tennis at Xavier University, serving as captain for three years and earning two All-Big East selections. He has coached in previous years at HRC and LaGrange Country Club and has been a hitting partner for ATP players with the likes of Jannik Sinner, Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, and Holger Rune. Ryan brings intensity, experience, and energy to every lesson!

Ross Smania
Ross grew up competing for Montini High School and went on to earn his degree in Sports Psychology from DePaul University, with a focus on mental toughness and performance mindset. He has been coaching tennis for the past four years at both LaGrange Country Club and Hinsdale Racquet Club, and is Level 1 PTR Certified. Ross currently serves as the Head Pickleball Pro at HRC and LGCC. He brings high energy, positivity, and a passion for helping players improve in every lesson he teaches.
